About UsThe Bainbridge Museum is located at 38 South Main Street in the Village of Bainbridge. The building is used for Senior Meals on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 -2, the Antique Auto Club meets there the first Sunday of the month, and is available to rent for small parties. It is handicap accessible. Exhibits of special interest include Indian artifacts found along the Susquehanna River, American Separators, Elmer's Products, American Plastics and other local milk industries. An operating model grist mill and photos of local mill sites are on display. There is also a display highlighting the life of Jedediah Strong Smith who was born January 6, 1799 in Bainbridge. Mission StatementThe Bainbridge Historical Society joins together interested persons to collect, document, preserve, display and research artifacts, memorabilia, and representations of local history. The Historical Society meets the second Tuesday of every month with special programs in October, February, May and June. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend these meetings.
